• For decades, domestic workers have struggled to be seen. The injustices they've faced - from exploitation and abuse, to insecure visa processes - have been hidden behind closed doors, in private homes and parliament.

  • Our campaign is harnessing the power of community, to build solidarity for domestic workers, let their stories be heard, and demand real change for everyone.

A brand identity rooted in co-creation

As the Creative lead on the project, I helped facilitate interviews and co-creation workshops which were key to crafting a unified voice with our core partners, domestic workers and the wider community. Providing a space to collaborate and sense check ideas in a holistic way resulted in a vibrant brand identity that the community can be proud of and one that can shake up the space.

THE LOGO

The texture on the logo resembles a stamp effect that works to compliment the overall scrapbook visual identity. Lettering is bold, friendly and inspired by Jeepney signs. The sun icon symbolises people seated around a table which reflects the campaign residency. Driving the idea that no matter where you’re coming from you will always have a seat in the community.

Explainer

Short explainer video created to simplify the issue for our target audience in a hard-hitting call to arms. The motion design expands the visual identity of the campaign and adds depth to the energy we want Our Place is Here to embody.

Filifest 2022

A collaboration with Filifest 2022, a student led festival celebrating Filipino culture at UCL, London. Our soft launch invited a new audience to learn about the issue through an exhibition that features our explainer video, info-boards, interactive photo booth in the shape of a jeepney where we ask people to get involved in making a scrapbook together by donating their photos to the campaign.
